Mary L. Nolze, 96, of Sandusky passed away Thursday morning, August 13, 2015 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky. She was born in Logan County on April 16, 1919 to the late Ross W. and Lela L. (Lee) Headings. Mary was also preceded in death by her first husband, Edward B. Reid who died in 1964, her second husband Floyd Nolze who died May 17, 1998 and a sister Leah Headings.
Mary was a registered nurse and began at Grant Hospital in Columbus. She later returned to Logan County and worked many years at Mary Rutan Hospital. She finished her nursing career and retired as a nurse with the Columbus Police Department. Following retirement, she lived in Ft. Myers, Florida for twenty-five years.
Mary is survived by her children: Richard B. (Veronica) Reid of Catawba Island, Ohio, Janet L. (John) Reid of Rigby, Idaho and Robert B. Reid of Delaware, Ohio; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Pastor Cheryl Siegenthaler will officiate a graveside service on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 1pm at the Greenwood Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
The Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
