Mary Katherine Sheeley

Mary Katherine Sheeley, age 101, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Tuesday evening June 25, 2019, at Belle Springs Nursing & Rehabilitation in Bellefontaine.

Peach was born in Bradford, Ohio February 15, 1918, to the late Ora and Bessie (Farmer) Marker.  She married Charles E. Sheeley January 12, 1938, and he preceded her in death in 1987.  She was also preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters and a grandson, Mark Steinberger.

Peach is survived by daughters, Carolyn Jean Forsythe, Mary Kay (LaVern) Steinberger, Linda Kauffman, all of Bellefontaine, and a son, Charles Sheeley Jr. of Belle Center, Ohio; three grandchildren, Kerry (Debby) Steinberger, Fawn Kauffman, and Jim (Tina) Kauffman; five great-grandchildren, Amy and Katie Steinberger, Jessie (Josh) Swisher, Paul Henline and Corporal Matt Henline; two great-great-grandchildren, Mikal and Bryanna Ravencraft; a brother, Charles Marker of Celina, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Peach was a homemaker and was very family-oriented.  She was a member of the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff (aka “angels”) at Belle Springs and Universal Hospice for the friendship and care they provided.

Rev. Kevin C. Greenwald will officiate the funeral service Friday, June 28, 2019 at 1 P.M. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine, where visitation will be held from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. prior to the funeral.

Burial will be at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.
