Mary Lou White, 85, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Mary Rutan Hospital
She was born on July 8, 1929 in Bainbridge, Ohio to the late Elwin “Rocky” and Mabel (Anderson) Thompson.
On October 23, 1949, in Hillsboro, Ohio, she married Henry Clay White and he preceded her in death on December 29, 1980. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Pauline Thompson, Helen Winbingo and Paul Thompson.
Surviving is a son, Thomas (Cathie) White of Bellefontaine; three grandchildren, Chris White, Artie Dearwester, both of Bellefontaine, and Tammy Queen of Troy; five great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Griffith of Chillicothe and Alice Black of Greenfield; and two brothers, Stacy Thompson and John D. “Pete” Thompson, both of Bainbridge.
Mary Lou retired in 1994 from Huntington National Bank after 35 years of service.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, the Professional Business Women Association, Soroptimist Club, Logan County Quilt Club, Red Hat Society, and the Mary Rutan Hospital Guild. She enjoyed crafts, quilting and working in her yard.
Visitation will be on Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Bellefontaine where a 1:00 pm service will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014 with Pastor Jeffory Willetts officiating. Burial will be in the Bellefontaine Cemetery.
