Mary Patricia Woolf, age 57, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at her residence.
She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio January 19, 1960, the daughter of Kenneth Carl “K.C.” Steggeman, who survives in Bellefontaine and the late Mary Margaret (O’Brien) Steggeman who preceded her in death in 2010. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, David V. and Patricia Anne Woolf.
On July 10, 1982, she married Brad Woolf and he survives along with children Heidi and William Edwards of Marysville, Ohio, Brien and Jessica Woolf and Micah Paul Woolf, both of Bellefontaine; three grandchildren, Jay Tuttle, Alexander and William Edwards; her brothers and sisters, Theresa and Brant Dunn of Bellefontaine, Susan and Jim York of Plain City, Ohio, Joe and Kelly Steggeman and Kevin and Karen Steggeman, both of Bellefontaine, Mark Steggeman of Dublin, Ohio, Michele Steggeman of Hilliard, Ohio, Susie Steggeman of Bellefontaine, and David Woolf of Lima, Ohio and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mary was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother affectionally known as “SewMary.” She was a 1978 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and a 1982 graduate of Bowling Green State University where she belonged to the Delta Zeta sorority. She worked as a Time Rich Philanthropist. She was a long-time member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine where she was on staff and carried many bags. She worked at the Sewing & Yarn Shop in Bellefontaine, the Hilliker YMCA, and Life Leadership. She volunteered at many organizations including the American Red Cross, Logan County voting polls and Boy Scouts of America.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 13, 2017 from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. and 4 to 6 P.M. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine. Father Shawn Landenwitch will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:30 P.M. at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Bellefontaine. There will be an open house at the Woolf family residence on Sunday afternoon.
The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
