Maxine L. Clingerman, age 83, of Kenton, Ohio passed away at 9:07 A.M. Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Vancrest of Ada. She was born in Wood County Ohio June 13, 1934, to the late Lee Alton and Maxine (Pugh) Stoddard.
On April 22, 1966, in Knoxville, Tennessee she married Cletus D. Clingerman and he preceded her in death June 5, 1999.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Harry) Jones of Lima, Ohio, Cheryl Manns of Virginia, Melody L. (William Poulos) Fleece of Cleveland, Ohio, Kelly (Kevin) Rickenbacher, of Kenton, and Sandra Hites of Marysville, Ohio; her sons, Lee A. Fleece of Roundhead, Ohio and Richard L. Fleece of Dallas, Texas; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; sisters, Kay Calmes of Fostoria, Ohio, and Jany (Frank) Sleasman of Manchester, New Hampshire and many nieces and nephews.
Maxine was a 1952 graduate of Dunkirk High School. She was a homemaker, who was a wonderful cook and baker. Maxine made the best Christmas candy and a lot of it. She was family oriented and loved to be around all her grandchildren and family. All who loved her will miss her.
Pastor David Holbrook will officiate the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 2 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Bellefontaine Cemetery in Bellefontaine.
The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
