Melissa R. Katterheinrich

Melissa R. Katterheinrich, age 48, of DeGraff, Ohio passed away at 12:45 P.M. Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She was born December 31, 1968, in Marion, Indiana to Charles (Cathy) Brown and Linda (Robert) Smith.

In addition to her parents, Melissa is survived by her fiancé, Dennis Stryker; two daughters, Kayla (Jon) Craft and Allison Katterheinrich; a son, Douglas Homan; four grandchildren; a sister, Amy Dorris; three step-siblings and many nieces and nephews.

A member of the Lewistown Trinity United Methodist Church, Melissa worked as a Life Enrichment Director at The Homestead at Logan Acres. Caring for the residents of Logan Acres was her passion and Melissa enjoyed spending time with The Homestead residents during the outings and events she helped organize. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Pastor Debra S. Ketcham will officiate the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 at the Lewistown Trinity United Methodist Church in Lewistown, Ohio where visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will follow the service at the Fairview Cemetery in Quincy, Ohio.

The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff, Ohio.
