Meryl “Jeanette” Ferguson Mentzer, 89, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, went to be with her Lord at 9:10 P.M. Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Green Hills Center in West Liberty, Ohio.
She was born in Hardin County Ohio November 26, 1922, to the late Carl and Leotta (Bland) Struble.
On April 14, 1940, Jeanette married Harry Ferguson and he preceded her in death September 24, 1973. She then married Raymond Mentzer August 19, 1974, and he preceded her in death April 13, 2006. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Nina Struble and Fern Struble Hathaway, and two brothers, Raymond and Clarence Struble.
She is survived by a daughter, Charlotte (Joe) Peterman of Findlay, Ohio; three sons, Larry (Carol) Ferguson of Westerville, Ohio, Rick (Wilma) Ferguson of Bellefontaine and Dale (Pat) Ferguson of Richwood, Ohio; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren, and several nephews.
A homemaker, Jeanette enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking. She attended the Rushsylvania Church of Christ.
The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at 1:00 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine with Pastor Lynn Cleaveland officiating. Calling hours are Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Hale Cemetery in Mt. Victory, Ohio.

The funeral arrangements were handled by the staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
