Metta Webb

Metta M. Webb, 87, of West Liberty passed away Friday morning, January 27, 2017 at Green Hills Care Center.

She was born in Athens County, Ohio to the late Worthy and Anna (Reed) Cole. Metta married Richard Bruce Webb on February 27, 1948 in Richmond, Indiana and he preceded her in death on October 14, 2016. She was also preceded in death by sisters Ida Crow and Beatrice Kemper, a brother Ralph Baker, and a great-granddaughter Lauren McManaway.

Metta was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, gardening and making flower arrangements. She loved everybody and will be missed by all. Metta was a member of Potters House – Church of God in Columbus.

Metta is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Gary and Patricia Webb of West Liberty; two grandchildren Timothy and Kellie; three great-grandchildren: Joshua, Hannah and Megan; a sister Mandy Allen of Cincinnati and brothers Joe Cole and Art Cole, both of Athens County.

Pastor Bobby Smith will officiate a funeral service on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 1pm at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, West Liberty where friends may call one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Middleburg Cemetery.
