Michael R. “Mike” Bell, 68, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on December 3, 1955, to the late Millard and Virginia (Burk) Bell.

On November 18, 1978, he married Kim K. (Gibson) Bell, and she survives.

Mike is also survived by his children, Anthony Bell, Shawna (James Neeld) Bell and Michael Crawford; grandchildren, Bailey Mathews, Chase Mathews, Jaeden Rollins, Felicity (Luis Gonzalez) Crawford, Michael Crawford Jr., and Rylee Crawford; great grandson, Luis Gonzalez Jr.; sister, Becky Walton; and several nieces and nephews.

Mike was an electrician, and a good one. He worked for Thompson Electric for many years and then started his own company, Mike Bell Electric. Mike loved to go fishing and hunting with his daughter, Shawna, and many of his friends. He enjoyed eating a Rueben sandwich at Arby’s with Jim, Rodney, and Darren. He loved working in his barn, mowing his lawn, and especially traveling with his wife, Kim. In his early years, Mike flew RC planes and enjoyed playing paint ball. He loved to talk and could hold a conversation with anyone, especially in Walmart.

Pastor Jeffory Willetts will officiate a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church, 1140 Rush Avenue, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery.
