Michael E. Hamilton, age 62, of Rushsylvania, Ohio passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 1, 2017 at his home. He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio March 8, 1955, to the late Aubry Hamilton and Beverly J. (Tapp) McKinley.
Mike is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Wilt) Hamilton, whom he married July 16, 1973 in Rushsylvania. He is also survived by his children, Heather (Andy) Godwin of Zanesfield, Ohio and Michael (Daphne) Hamilton of Canton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Kelsey, Hayden and Kyla Godwin, and John Hamilton; half-brothers and half-sisters, Chuck Snyder of Kenton, Ohio, William (Kimberly) Snyder of Parma, Ohio, Penny (Vern) Huffman of West Liberty, Ohio, Thomas Snyder of Kenton, Susan Snyder of Kenton, Dallas McKinley of Bellefontaine, and Christina Dolan of Bellefontaine and numerous nieces and nephews.
A 1973 graduate of Benjamin Logan High School, Mike worked thirty five years at Honda of America Manufacturing before retiring in 2012. He served as a township trustee for Rushcreek Township for two terms. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing and building furniture – a true “Jack of all Trades.”
Visitation will be held at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine Sunday, November 5, 2017, from 2 to 4 P.M. Pastor Lloyd Ferguson will officiate the funeral service Monday, November 6, 2017 at 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Rushsylvania Cemetery.
