Michael Houchin

Michael Robert Houchin, 54, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011 near Indian Lake, Ohio as the result of a motorcycle accident.

He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio September 18, 1956, a son of the late Robert Frances Houchin who preceded him in death in 2008 and Alice V. (Turner) Houchin in 2001.

He worked for the Bellefontaine City Water Department and was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Bellefontaine and the N.R.A. He loved to ride his motorcycle and was a proud supporter of WEEC.

He is survived by sons, Rob Houchin of Dayton, Ohio, and Matt Houchin of Bellefontaine; a daughter, Danae Houchin of Dayton; brothers, Greg (Ann “Scottie”) Houchin of Naples, Florida and John (Rhonda) Houchin of Bellefontaine; his accountability partner, Dave Clemmer and family of Bellefontaine and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pastor Greg Haisley will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Bellefontaine. Calling hours are Friday, May 13, 2011 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.
