Michael Dean Marmon, age 70, of East Liberty, Ohio passed away Wednesday morning, January 16, 2019 at his home.
He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio June 4, 1948, to the late Kenneth L. and Martha (Mosbarger) Marmon. He was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Louise Marmon.
Mike is survived by his wife, Heather (Beatty) Marmon whom he married May 21, 1977, in Canton, Ohio. He is also survived by his four-legged furry friends Winston and Corky; two brothers, Mark (Vicky) Marmon of Zanesfield, Ohio and Rick (Jeanne) Marmon of Bellefontaine; numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nephews, grand-nieces and cousins, Amy and Ellen.
A 1966 graduate of Logan Hills High School, Mike was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Viet Nam Conflict. He was stationed in the Everglades as a Military Police officer for the Air Force. Following his service, he worked for thirty years as a fork lift operator on the dock at the Big Bear Foods Warehouse. Mike enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Mad River Small Mouth Association. He also loved to read and watch tv.
Burial was in the Zanesfield Cemetery. A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at a later date.
The arrangements were handled by the the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
