Michael Ray Strayer

Michael Ray Strayer, 69, of DeGraff, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 3, 2023 at his home. He was born on October 16, 1953 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, a son of the late Orville Sherman and Miriam Virginia (Cordrey) Strayer.

On June 28, 1980, Michael married Karen Sue (Bishop) Strayer in West Liberty, Ohio, and she survives, along with their three children, Pamela (Nathan) Rowe, Jesse (Erin) Strayer, and Beth Ropp; four grandchildren, Kylie Ropp, Talon Strayer, Gage Ropp, and Isolina Rowe; a sister, Carolyn Garver; three brothers, Russell Strayer, Larry Strayer, and Tim Strayer; and several nieces and nephews.

Michael retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation. He loved watching his grandchildren participate in various sporting events.

A visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes Street in DeGraff, Ohio.
