Michael Edward Tynan, 62, of North Andover, Massachusetts and formerly of Bellefontaine passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Michael was born in Marshall, Texas on August 29, 1954 to LaDonna “Johnni” (Johns) Bates who survives in Homosassa, Florida and the late Don M. Tynan. Mike is also survived by his children: Donna (David) Hart of North Andover, Massachusetts, Michael LaValle of Manchester, New Hampshire and Cathy Tynan of Rochester, New York; grandchildren: Alicia, Kristen, Christopher and Cameron; a sister Donna (Mike) Anderson of Granbery, Texas; brothers: John Patrick Tynan of Kissimmee, Florida, James Eric (Diane) Tynan of Castroville, California, Paul Edgar Tynan of Santa Rosa, California, and Dan R. Tynan of Stockton, California; numerous aunt and uncles, nieces and nephews including Danielle (Justin) Tremble Eric Michael Tynan, Kasey, Kristen and Kara Tynan, Crystal and Christopher Tynan and Mary Anderson.

He was preceded in death by a brother Terrence Richard Tynan.

Mike graduated from Ridgefield High School in Connecticut and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from University of New Hampshire where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Mike also graduated from the University of Florida with a Masters Degree. A veteran of the US Air Force and US Navy, Mike served during Desert Storm and Enduring Freedom and retired after 16 years of service to his country. He later drove for 10 years with JB Hunt Trucking. Mike was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He loved to spend time on the water and watch manatees. As a child, Mike was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Visitation will be held at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St. Bellefontaine on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 6-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 10:30am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bellefontaine. Burial will be in Zanesfield Cemetery with military honors provided by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
