Michelle Houston

Michelle “Shellie” Houston (Massie), 29, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Monday, May 31, 2010 at the Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. She was born March 2, 1981 in Fayette County, Ohio and was raised in Logan County.

She is survived by her two children, her four year-old son, Austin Carter and her one and one half year-old daughter, Arionna Chanel. Also surviving is her loving mother, Sandra Lee (Houston) and father Dan Achor of Bellefontaine; long-time companion, Mike Wilk of Columbus, Ohio; maternal grandmother, Sharon Lee Humphrey of Pataskla, Ohio; maternal grandfather Gary R. Houston of Canal Winchester, Ohio; godfather and uncle, Jimmy Honacker; godmother and aunt Susan Denise Houston of Grove City, Ohio; her three cousins, Heather, Courtney, and Jammie Houston and her second cousin, Braden, all of Grove City; her aunts and uncles; Aaron Hundley of Pataskala, David Houston of Sonoma, California, Melinda Hundley of Newark, Ohio, and her cousins, Scotty, Ashlee, Karlee, and Logan; paternal grandmother, Mary Durban, and her aunts and uncles; Karen and Randy Stires, Donald Massie, Jr. and family, Miranda Lee Anne and family, Donna Ray and family and Mary Coey.

Michelle was a 1999 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and will be remembered by her many friends and loved ones for her bubbly personality and caring attitude. She made a positive impression on everyone she ever met. Her life revolved around her children, mother, and home. They were her world.

The funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday June 4, 2010, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 P.M. prior to the funeral service. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to a fund set up for her children, Michelle “Shellie” Houston Trust Fund, in care of PNC Bank in Bellefontaine or through the Eichholtz Funeral Home.
