Mike Householder

Mike Householder, 62, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010, at the Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. He was born July 9, 1947 in Union City, Indiana, the son of Kenneth Householder who preceded him in death and Rosemary (Peltier) Householder who survives in St. Mary’s, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife, Judy (Gordon) Householder, whom he married on November 20, 1971 in Piqua, Ohio. Also surviving are five children; Todd (Becky) Householder of Troy, Ohio, Tina (Jeremy) Burrey, Kevin Householder, Donald (Keri) Householder, all of Bellefontaine, and Randy (Natalie) Householder of Columbus, Ohio; three brothers, Ronald (Vickie) Householder of Gahanna, Ohio, Terry and Sue Householder of McCartyville, Ohio, and Tom Householder of St. Mary’s, Ohio; six grandchildren; Matt and Brooke Householder, Brady and Mya Burrey, Tyler Householder, and Blake Householder and another grandchild expected soon.

Mike had worked for Dayton Walther/Arvin Meritor for forty three years as a vehicle test supervisor. He was an active member of the Catholic Church, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a loving husband and father and was always full of life. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 12, 2010, from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, with a Prayer Service beginning at 5:45 P.M., provided by the Knights of Columbus #1782. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine with Father Patrick Sheridan officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.
