Mildred A. Bush

Mildred A. (Rex) Bush, age 97, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022, in The Homestead at Logan Acres Senior Community in Bellefontaine, Ohio. 

She was born January 23, 1925, to the late Guy and Edith (Garling) Rex. She married John E. Bush September 9, 1945, in Bellefontaine at the First United Methodist Church and he preceded her in death March 4, 2021. She was also preceded in death by a son, Larry A. Bush; a sister, Anna Bradley and brothers, Norman and Stanley Rex.

Mildred is survived by sons, Robert D. (Michele) Bush of Hanahan, South Carolina and Ronald L. (Catherine) Bush of Louisville, Kentucky; a daughter-in-law, Ann L. Bush of Bellefontaine; six grandchildren, Julie (Joe) Chute, Matthew (Julie) Bush, Ryan (Ashley) Bush, Kristen (Mark) Brown, Katie Higdon, and Aaron Bush; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.    

Mildred enjoyed reading, planting flowers in her garden, and was an excellent cook. She enjoyed camping with her husband John and was a master at jigsaw puzzles. She was a member of the Gretna Brethren Church and transferred to the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine after marriage.

The family thanks The Homestead at Logan Acres for their loving care of Mildred the last four years.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine, where Pastor Joe Ziraldo will officiate the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.

Burial will follow the funeral service at the Bellefontaine Cemetery in Bellefontaine.
