Biography

Mildred L. “Millie” Kegg, 88, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine.

She was born May 24, 1924, in Bellefontaine to the late Lionel Wayne and Mildred (Mitchell) Robson.

On February 1, 1943, she married Everett Allen “Bud” Kegg and he preceded her in death in July of 1993. Also preceding her were two sisters, Mary Harshfield and Wanda Turner, and two grandsons, Rick and Jeffrey Wirick.

Surviving are her children, Gary (Sharon) Kegg of Westerville, Ohio, Kirk (Sheila) Kegg of Bellefontaine and Melanie (Kayo) Wirick of West Liberty, Ohio; grandchildren, Ryan Wirick and Shannon, Allison and Heather Kegg; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Zak, Ciarra, Grant, Blake, Jessica, Kaitlin, Carson, Gabriella, and Giovanni, and several nieces and nephews.

Millie worked at the Barton Candy Company and Roe’s Dress Shop. A big Frank Sinatra fan, she loved ballroom dancing and enjoyed going to the Star Dust Ballroom at Indian Lake where she won several dance contests.

A graveside service will be held at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 2, 2013, with Pastor Bryan Meadows officiating.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine handled the arrangements for the family.
