Mildred “Mick” Leasure, 83, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, in Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine. She was born in Sidney, Ohio, on November 22, 1925, a daughter of the late Gilbert and Mima Wilson Burton. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Leasure Sr., on April 17, 1989; three sisters, Mary McFarlin, Lily Tippin and Ruby Finfrock; and a brother, Gene Burton.
Survivors include two sons, Roy E. (Brenda) Leasure Jr. of Huntsville, Ohio, and Roger (Peggy) Leasure of West Liberty, Ohio; two daughters, Diantha (Fred) Colwell of Horseshoe, North Carolina, and Cheryl (Gabriel) Segura of Las Vegas, Nevada; a brother, Cleon (Mary) Burton of Bucyrus, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
A homemaker, she was an active member of the Bellefontaine First Church of God. She enjoyed reading and crocheting, and was known for her cooking.
Pastor Ray Headings conducts the funeral service at 1 P.M. Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling is two hours prior to the service. Interment follows the funeral service in the Fairview Cemetery in Quincy, Ohio.
