Mildred Corina “Millie” Moberly, 100, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at the Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty. She was born July 13, 1909 in Clifton, Ohio, to the late Evan D. and Bessie (Phillips) Baker.

On February 9, 1926, she married Lloyd B. Moberly and he preceded her in death May 27, 1959.

Mrs. Moberly was an active church member, community volunteer, and an accomplished seamstress in the Fayette County area. In 1974, she moved to Wapakoneta, Ohio, and following the death of longtime companion, Philip Hut in 1999, she moved to Logan County to live with her daughter.

At the time of her death, she was a member of the Galilee Lutheran Church in Russells Point, Ohio, the Indian Lake Senior Citizens, and the Friendly Senior Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Betty Lou and Peter Crowe of Battle Creek, Michigan; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; a sister, Gladys Gordon of New Carlisle, Ohio; and the family of Philip Hut in Wapakoneta.

Preceding her in death was a sister, Thelma McBeth.

Pastor Cheryl Siegenthaler and Rev. David Buchenroth will conduct the funeral service on 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 4, 2009, at the Green Hills Chapel in West Liberty, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Bloomingburg Cemetery near Washington Courthouse in Fayette County.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Green Hills Endowment Fund 6557 US Route 68 South, West Liberty, OH 43357

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with arrangements.
