Mona Jean Salyer, 85, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 12:20 P.M. at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine. She was born March 10, 1927 in Logan County Ohio, a daughter of the late Harley Dennis and Nila Hazel (Mulholland) Leasure.
On August 9, 1952 in Zanesfield, Ohio, she married William Warren Salyer and he preceded her in death in 1998. Also preceding her in death was her son, Richard Eugene Salyer, two brothers, three sisters and her special cat, Sassy.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Jo (Jim) Davie of Bellefontaine; a step-daughter, Ellen Oakley of Lakeview, Ohio; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She owned and operated the Country Inn in Belle Center, Ohio and had worked at the L&K Restaurant, The Homecoming, Bull Dog and Hardings, and also farmed.
She was a member of the Belle Center Church of Christ.
There are no services planned. A private interment will take place on a later date at the Rushsylvania Cemetery in Rushsylvania, Ohio.
