N. Maxine Willoby, 95, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013 at the Green Hills Community in West Liberty, Ohio.
She was a Logan County Ohio native born November 24, 1917, the daughter of the late Milton and Nellie Victoria (Ammons) Jacobs.
She married Robert M. Willoby in Angola, Indiana May 3, 1952, and he preceded her in death June 13, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Cecil Jacobs; her twin sister Pauline Culp and her other sister, France “Peg” Moon, and one great-grandson.
She is survived by her two sons, Benjamin (Terri) Willoby of Bellefontaine and James (Alisa) Willoby of Cullman, Alabama; four grandchildren, David (Jessica) Willoby of Rushsylvania, Ohio, Jared (Melody) Willoby of Lewistown, Ohio, Benjamin Willoby II of Bellefontaine, and Andrew (Lacey) Willoby of Bowling Green, Ohio; eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Maxine was a 1936 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and after graduating, went to work for the H.G. Short Company in Bellefontaine, where she worked until she was married and had her first child. She later went back to work as a secretary until her retirement for the former Banc Ohio, National City Bank, now presently PNC Bank. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her senior group and was a member of the First Church of God in Bellefontaine.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 14, 2013, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine with Pastor Ron Irick officiating. Calling hours will be Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 5 to 8 P.M. and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.
