Nancy M. Thompson, 74, of Spencerville, Ohio, passed away at 1:45 P.M. Monday, April 24, 2017, at her residence surrounded by family. She was born in Columbus, Ohio September 2, 1942, to the late Paul and Violet (Shaver) Bocook. A son, Fred Steinhelfer, a brother, Ronald Bocook, and a nephew, Tommy Scott, also preceded Nancy in death.
She is survived by her children, Bonnie (Steve) Forster of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Christy Thompson of Lima, Ohio, and Tim Steinhelfer of Bellefontaine; her grandchildren, Holly (Shannon), Tyler, Blake, Morgan, Ron (Jen) John, Amy, Misti, Megan, Tim, Katie, and Madison; her sister and best friend in life, Judy (Tom) Scott of Alabama; special friends that she loved beyond words, Heather Settlemiere and Peg Savage, and lots of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Nancy graduated from West High in Columbus, Ohio in 1960. She retired from Daido Metal in Bellefontaine after thirty years of service. Nancy was a big fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. She loved being around her family and grandkids. All who loved Nancy will miss her.
Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a memorial service at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, April 27, 2017, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 P.M. prior to the memorial service. A private family burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
The funeral arrangements are in care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
