Nila J. “Jean” Green, 68 of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010 at 1:25 P.M. at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born October 28, 1942 in Urbana, Ohio, a daughter of the late Walter E. Hone and Nila “Juanita” (Hereford) Hone who survives in West Liberty, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a son, Russell Huber; a brother, Ron Hone and a sister, Bonnie Ward.
On February 18, 1984 in Zanesfield, Ohio, she married Max Green and he survives along with a daughter, Beverly (Kenneth) Rorrer of Zanesfield; two step-sons, Gregory Green of Ft. Myers, Florida and Kent Green of Zanesfield; seven grandchildren, Darrin Huber, Christy Huber, Stephanie Huber, Emily Rorrer, Benjamin Rorrer, Thomas Rorrer and Maria Rorrer and a brother, Don (Dixie) Hone of Zanesfield. She was also close with her large extended family.
Jean retired from Procter & Gamble in Lima, Ohio, and attended Zanesfield United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, being outdoors and loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Pastor Chuck Temple will conduct the funeral service Friday, December 31, 2010 at 11 A.M. at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church 624 Township Road 55 in Bellefontaine. Calling hours are Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. Interment will follow the funeral service in the Zanesfield Cemetery.
