Norma J. Jenkins

Norma J. Jenkins, 92, of Bellefontaine and formerly of Belle Center, passed away at 4:35am on Monday, December 14, 2020 in the Englewood Health and Rehab Center.

She was born in Belle Center, Ohio on June 30, 1928, the daughter of the late William and Winfred (Watt) Ansley.

In 1949, she married Herbert J. Yoder and he preceded her in death on July 13, 1968.  In June of 1981, she married Ralph E. Jenkins and he preceded her in death on May 12, 2011.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Aaron) Kite of Bellefontaine, and three stepchildren, Luanne (Michael) Powell of Wapakoneta, Scot (Carolyn) Jenkins of Hilton Head, SC, and Greg (Sandra) Jenkins of Batavia, OH, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a brother, James (Joann) Ansley of The Villages, FL, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Detwiler, and two brothers, Carl Ansley, and William M. Ansley.

Norma was a member of the Lewistown-Trinity United Methodist Church as well as the Eastern Star and American Legion Auxiliary.  She loved to bake for family and church family.  After losing Ralph, she enjoyed meeting with and going out to dinner with her Widows Club.

Rev. Debra S. Ketcham will officiate a funeral service on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center.  The funeral service will be livestreamed via the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home’s Facebook Live feature.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7pm at the Belle Center funeral home.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.
