Norma Jean Longbrake, 82, of DeGraff passed away at 12:49 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Mary Rutan Hospital. She was born in Champaign County, Ohio on November 16, 1932 to the late Lester and Laura (Siegenthaler) Brecount.

On April 8, 1952 she married Charles E. “Chuck” Longbrake and he preceded her death on March 15, 2002.

Jean is survived by her two sons, Jeffery (Kathy) Longbrake of Bowling Green and James (Sue) Longbrake of DeGraff; five grandchildren, Jason (Christina) Longbrake of Columbus, Matthew (Dawn) Longbrake of McCartysville, Sarah Longbrake of Washington, DC, Emily Longbrake of Nashville, Tennessee and Katelin Longbrake of Charlotte, North Carolina; four great grandchildren, Zoie Breanne, Colton James, Owen Charles and Samuel Jerome; four sisters, Janet (Kenneth) Kies of King’s Mountain, North Carolina, June (Scott) Adkins of Fairborn, Linda (Gary) Goings of DeGraff, and Joyce (Steve) Hammond of DeGraff; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A bookkeeper, Jean and her husband owned and operated the former Longbrake Sohio and the DeGraff Laundromat & Car Wash in DeGraff.

Pastor Bill Halter will officiate a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes Street, DeGraff, Ohio. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
