Olivia was the valedictorian of the Rushsylvania High School Class of 1945, and attended Ohio University for one year before becoming a homemaker. Olivia worked at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Urbana and after twenty three years of service, she retired from Mary Rutan Hospital where she worked as a nurse’s technician.

She was a member of the Rushsylvania First United Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Whiley Guild. Olivia loved to sing and was active with the Rushsylvania Community Choir and the Christmas Cantata. In her last years, she had lost the ability to pursue her hobbies but still continued to sing and laugh and cheat at word games. She touched numerous lives through her work and church activities and left a legacy of love, joy and acceptance of others. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
