Oma E. Williams, 95, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty. She was born September 13, 1916 in Logan County Ohio, to the late Juluis A. and Cleo M. (Souders) Fender.
On May 22, 1942 she married Thomas Williams in Huntsville, Ohio, and he preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her daughters, Phyllis Yoder and Doris Schultz; a brother, George L. Fender; a brother-in-law, Lloyd M. Lockwood; and a granddaughter, Samantha A. Williams.
She is survived by a son, Paul (Leila) Williams of West Liberty; a sister, Margaret E. Lockwood of West Liberty; grandchildren, Sheryl Williams, Stacey (Doug) Bleininger, Lynn Yoder, Larry (Heather) Yoder, Paige (Joe) Pequignot, Darrin (Teresa) Schultz; great grandchildren, Heather Bleininger, Justice Yoder, Dennis Bleininger, Arie Pequignot, Kelton, McKenna & Koen Schultz and Alexis and Kaiden Yoder; and sons-in-law, Darrell Yoder and Dave Schultz.
A homemaker, Oma graduated in 1934 from the Middleburg High School. She was a member of the Goshen Friends Church and the Farm Bureau.
Calling hours Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty, where Rev. Bruce Bell will officiate the 1:00 P.M. funeral service Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Interment will be at the Zanesfield Cemetery in Zanesfield, Ohio.
