Patricia Barbee

Patricia Ann Barbee, 79, of West Liberty and formerly of DeGraff, passed away at 9:05 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Green Hills Care Center. She was born in Sidney, Ohio on March 1, 1936 to the late William A. and Mildred (Vordemark) Weeks. In 1952, Pat married Ernest J. Barbee and he preceded her in death on February 12, 1994. She was also preceded in death by a niece Debbie Sue Weeks-Gunderson in 1995; a sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law.

Pat is survived by her brother Richard E. (Joyce) Weeks of Bellefontaine; a sister-in-law Alberta Legge of West Liberty; a niece, Linda K. (Steve) Popp; a nephew, Christopher S. Weeks; numerous cousins from the Shelby County area; and numerous nieces, great nieces and nephews from the Champaign County area.

A homemaker, Pat loved being with her family and cooking for them, especially during the holidays. She also loved her cats and kittens, of which there were many during her lifetime. She was a kind, generous, humane lady and will be missed by her loving relatives.

As per Pat’s request, there will be no visitation. Pastor Harry Kearns will officiate a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Fairview Cemetery, Quincy.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
