Patricia Folland

Patricia Ann Hughes Folland, age 78, of Fredericktown, Ohio passed away Monday, June 30, 2014 in Avon Lake Town Center.

She was born October 6, 1935 in Logan County Ohio, the daughter of the late Wilbur E. “Bill” Hughes and Mary Elizabeth “Betty” (Griffith) Hughes who survives in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

On June 30, 1962, she married Robert F. Folland and he survives along with their children, Elizabeth “Beth” F. (Michael) Conley of San Antonio, Texas and Robert “Rob” C. (Janel) Folland of Avon, Ohio; four grandchildren, Annabelle Elizabeth, Jackson Robert, Christopher John, and Isabelle Christina; a step granddaughter, Marla Kay; one brother, William Robert (Kay) Hughes of Spring, Texas and several nieces and nephews.

Patricia was a 1953 graduate of Huntsville High School and a 1959 graduate of Ohio University in Athens obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She taught Home Economics at Lima Senior, Birmingham, Michigan, Washington Court House, and Cory-Rawson school districts. She also worked as a Home Economist for Ohio Power and as a county extension agent for Auglaize County.

She was a member of the Fredericktown United Methodist Church and a seasonal member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs, Florida.

Pastor Rob Fulton will officiate a graveside service at 11:30 A.M. Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio. A memorial service will be held in Knox County at a later date.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
