Patricia Klopfenstein

Patricia A. Klopfenstein, age 90, of Jackson Center, Ohio, passed away at 11:13 A.M. Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Dorothy Love Retirement Community in Sidney, Ohio.

She was born January 6, 1924, to the late Harry and Bertha (DuVall) Dearbaugh. On June 12, 1943 she married Adrian Eugene Klopfenstein, and he preceded her in death July 24, 2008. She was also preceded in death by a son, Richard “Rick” Klopfenstein.

Pat is survived by her three children, Mark (Suzanne) Klopfenstein of Springfield, Ohio, Scott (Kathy) Klopfenstein of Jackson Center, and Ann (Harry) Meyer of West Chester, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Judy Klopfenstein of Jackson Center; seven grandchildren, Lisa (Harold) Skaggs, Dawn Finney, Rachel (Jeremy) Smith, Scott (Elizabeth) Meyer, Isaac (Jenna) Klopfenstein, Adrianne Klopfenstein and Aaron Klopfenstein; eight great grandchildren, Allen Conner, Jeff (Lindsay) Skaggs, Kayla Skaggs, Kristin Finney, Ryan Finney, Lincoln Smith, Easton Smith, and Gabriel Meyer,and two great-great grandsons, Cooper and Cameron Skaggs.

A 1941 graduate of Jackson Center High School, Pat was a homemaker and worked at Dearbaugh Grocery, which was owned by her parents, as well as Holloway Sportswear as a seamstress, both located in Jackson Center. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Jackson Center since her marriage to Adrian in 1943, and also belonged to the American Club and Eastern Star.

Pastor Kent Hollis will officiate the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Jackson Center. Calling hours will be held Monday, November 17, 2014 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the church and one hour prior to the funeral service Tuesday.

Interment will be at the Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson, Ohio.

The funeral arrangements were in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Jackson Center.
