Biography

Patricia C. “Pat” Ricketts, 86, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at 5:30 A.M. Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Heartland of Bellefontaine.

She was born in Bellefontaine June 20, 1927, to the late Henry Floyd and Anna Maude (Taylor) Smith. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Jakeway and three brothers Lester, Taylor and Gene Smith.

On March 6, 1949 she married Milo A. Ricketts Jr., and he survives.

She is also survived by her daughter, Susan Ricketts of Indianapolis, Indiana; two sons, Ted Ricketts of Bellefontaine and Timothy (Renee) Ricketts of Napoleon, Ohio; five grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pat was a member of the First Church of God in Bellefontaine where she had taught Sunday School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting.

Rev. A. W. Purdin will officiate a graveside service at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 16, 2013, in the Bellefontaine Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. prior to the graveside service at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff for the exceptional care they provided to Pat during her stay at Heartland of Bellefontaine.
