Patrick Hennessy

Patrick “Pat” E. Hennessy, 82, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine.

He was born August 31, 1930 in Bellefontaine, to the late Norbert D. and Irene F. (Hullinger) Hennessy. He was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas P. Hennessy March 18, 1999, and a brother, Thomas J. Hennessy.

On August 30, 1958, he married the former Betty Stayrook in Bellefontaine, and she survives along with their children, Rebecca “Becky” (Rick) Robison of Bellefontaine and Timothy “Tim” (Dawn) Hennessy of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren, Parker (Lindsey) Robison, Colin (Morgan) Robison, Bailey Robison, Morgan E. Robison, and Madison, Harrison, Kennedy and Grant Hennessy; and two great grandchildren, Maxton and Hayes Robison.

A Bellefontaine High School graduate, Pat was a United States Navy Veteran and worked for Conrail as an electrician. Pat was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Elks Lodge #132, American Legion Harold Kerr Post #173 and the Moose Lodge #1533. He enjoyed helping other people and watching the grandchildren.

Rev. Patrick Sheridan will officiate an 11:00 A.M. memorial service Friday, August 16, 2013, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling hours are from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, August 15, 2013. Interment will be at the Bellefontaine Cemetery in Bellefontaine with military honors by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
