Patrick E. McCullough, 63, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 at his home. He was born September 8, 1949, in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late Charles McCullough and Elizabeth (Bradley) McCullough Rosengarden.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant sons, Shawn and Patrick McCullough Jr.
He leaves behind his longtime companion Terry Stockton of Bellefontaine; his three children, Scott McCullough of Dayton, Ohio, Nicole McCullough of St. Paris, Ohio area, and Mark McCullough of Dunkirk, Ohio; three step children, Wesley Stockton of Marion, Ohio, Henry and Wayne Stockton of Sidney, Ohio; his step father, Lester Rosengarden of Englewood, Ohio; several grandchildren and a brother, Mike McCullough of Florida.
He was a 1968 graduate of Northmont High School in Dayton and shortly thereafter he joined the U.S. Marine Corp and served during the Vietnam War. Following his military career, he worked various jobs throughout his lifetime including working on the Andrea Gail, a commercial fishing vessel that was lost at sea with all hands and was the story behind the 2000 film, The Perfect Storm.
A special recognition goes out to his infant grandson, Miles Stockton, “Oy, Oy, Oy”.
A graveside service will be held at the Dayton National Cemetery at a later date.
The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine is honored to have served the McCullough family.
