Paul L. Cox, 87, of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012 at his residence.
He was born in Logan County Ohio July 31, 1925, to the late Kenneth and Emma Belle (Barr) Cox.
On June 8, 1946, he married Phyllis Stokes in Belle Center, and she preceded him in death March 8, 1998. Also preceding him in death was a brother, Leonard Cox, and a sister, Ann Docie.
Surviving are his children, Regi (Sandy) Cox of Marysville, Ohio and Roxie Snyder of Findlay, Ohio; two brothers, Loren Cox of Ridgeway, Ohio and Larry (Ellen) Cox of Bellefontaine, Ohio; a sister, Carolyn Yule of Dublin, Ohio; three grandchildren, Staci Flynn, Nicole Reed and Angie Cox; five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul worked over thirty years for Merchants Industry in Bellefontaine as a printer. He was a Roundhead High School graduate and was an Army Veteran serving in World War II. He raised horses all his life and was a member of the Hardin County Draft Horse Association and most recently worked the show at the Hardin County Fair this year. Paul was an American Red Cross blood donor, giving thirty two gallons.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 21, 2012, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center, where calling hours are from 4 to 7 P.M. Thursday, September 20, 2012. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center.
