Paul Liles
Paul Joseph “Joe” Liles, 72, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Van Crest Health Care Center in Urbana, Ohio.
He was born March 24, 1940, in LaPorte, Indiana to the late Paul Justin Liles and Ruth Eleanor (Barker) Donigan. He was also preceded in death by a son, Scott Liles and a sister, Sondra Myers.
On April 2, 1960 he married Patricia Thomas in Kenton, Ohio, and she survives. Also surviving are their children, Mike (Jackie) Liles of Huntsville, Ohio, Brad Liles of Bellefontaine and Vicki (Russ Foust) Stratton of Bellefontaine; three brothers, David Donigan of Evansville, Illinois, Michael Donigan of Clio, Michigan and Kenny Donigan of Missouri; four sisters, Patricia (Gerald) McKay of Holly, Michigan, Paula Alber of Fenton, Michigan, Kathy (Joe) Sweet of Swartz Creek, Michigan, and Cheri (Tom) Rex of Gaines, Michigan; three grandchildren, Sara Kite of Dallas, Texas, Kierstin Liles and Kyler Liles both of Russells Point, Ohio; three step grandchildren, Nate Godsey of Belle Center, Ohio, Heather Frazier of Bellefontaine and Ashley Minnig of West Liberty, Ohio; three step great grandchildren, Ireland, Dovelyn and Kamryn; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joe was the produce manager at Kroger’s for twenty four years and owned and operated Liles Sign Painting. He was a member of the Vineyard Christian Church in Bellefontaine, a member of 4-H and was a Cub Scout advisor. He was an artist and painter including 100’s of boats locally and many signs in Logan County and beyond. He enjoyed his family, boating, camping, fishing, traveling and motorcycles.
Calling hours are Friday, November 23, 2012 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. Pastor Chuck Temple will officiate the funeral service Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home with visitation from 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will be at the Bellefontaine Cemetery in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
