Paula J. Wurtsbaugh, 75, formerly of Bellefontaine, passed away at 5:45pm on Friday, July 15, 2022, in Westbrook Assisted Living & Memory Care, Upper Sandusky.
She was born in Newark, Ohio on February 8, 1947, the daughter of the late Robert and Beatrice (Hamby) Roe.
On February 14, 1970, she married Dr. J. Anthony Wurtsbaugh in Newark and he preceded her in death on January 4, 2001. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Sally Roe and her companion, Charlie Newland.
She is survived by three daughters; Megan (Jason) Hummer of Loveland, OH, Marnie (Beau) Hahn of Upper Sandusky, Paige (Derek) Bolinger of Marion, OH, and five grandchildren; Brighton Hummer, Merrick Hummer, Lilly Hummer, Raelyn Hahn, Leah Hahn, and a sister, Beth Roe of Newark.
Paula worked as a homemaker and was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Bellefontaine. She enjoyed gardening and belonged to various gardening clubs, and she also liked to research genealogy.
Pastor Steve Merrin and Forrest “Woody” Amidon will officiate a funeral service at 12Noon on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
