Pauline Lucille Anstey, 88, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010 at the Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty. She was born June 18, 1921 to the late Morris and Tressa (Guernsey) Baker in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.
On October 7, 1939 she married James B. Anstey in Lansing, Michigan, and he preceded her in death April 25, 1995. Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Joanne Anstey; her brothers Paul and Art Baker; and a sister Donna Gould.
Surviving are two daughters, Joy G. Weckler of Battle Creek, Michigan, and Jill A. (James) Hoffman of West Liberty; a brother, Norman (Glenna) Baker of Bradenton, Florida; three grandchildren, Jennie, Jimmy and Jessie Hoffman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pauline was an office manager for K-Mart in Battle Creek, Michigan. She lived in Battle Creek until 1993 when she moved to Ohio.
She attended the United Church of Christ in West Liberty and loved to read, knit and work in her flower garden. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
A celebration of life will begin at 5:00 P.M. Saturday, May 8, 2010, at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty where calling hours are from 3 to 5P.M. The service will be led by Jim Hoffman.
