Pauline Moffitt, 89 of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 5:40 A.M. at Heartland of Bellefontaine, Ohio.
She was born July 31, 1923 in Monroe Township, Ohio, a daughter of the late Leo and Margaret (King) Grimes.
She married Kaylor Moffitt and he preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Ruth Wirick and two brothers, Mark and Ben Grimes.
Survivors include her children, Ronald (Pegg) Moffitt of Zanesfield, Ohio, Margaret Gerrietts of West Liberty and Keith (Betsy) Moffitt of Delaware, Ohio; grandchildren, Kwyn, Kara, Kyle, Nathan, Julie, Katie, Jake, Josh and Josie; thirteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Kate Plank and Phyllis Wallace both of Bellefontaine; brothers, Leo Jr. Grimes of Summerset, Kentucky, Joe (Sylvia) Grimes of Piqua, Ohio and Don (Carol Ann) Grimes of Kenton, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A 1941 graduate of Monroe High School, Pauline was a homemaker and a member of the Zanesfield United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, keeping up on current affairs, politics and had lots of good friends and loved staying in contact with them. A family oriented person, she enjoyed making maple syrup on the farm, was a great cook, especially her pies.
Pastor Gene Phelps will conduct the funeral service at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty, where calling hours are Friday, November 30, 2012 from 5 to 8 P.M. and one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty.
