Peggy Francis Dreger, age 89, of Chesterfield Township Michigan, passed away at 11:43 P.M. Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Campbell Place in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
She was born in Macomb County Michigan March 3, 1930, a daughter of the late Frank Bonsole and Mary (Domsic) Strickmaker.
Peggy married Robert G. Dreger and they spent forty years together before he preceded her in death October 29, 2014. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Skyleur Versele June 2, 2017, and a sister, Val Priest.
She is survived by her son, Dennis P. (Bonnie) Versele Jr. of Bellefontaine; four grandsons, Forest (Mandy) Versele of Tempe, Arizona, Logan (Regan) Versele of Powell, Ohio, Christopher (Chelsea) Versele of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Matthew Wildermuth of Bellefontaine; eight great grandchildren, a sister, Sylvia (Jack Hornbaker) Jurecic of Traverse City, Michigan; a brother; Richard (Dottie) Bonsole of Oscoda, Michigan and several nieces and nephews.
Peggy worked as a building secretary for Roseville City Schools in Michigan. She was a concert pianist and played organ for her church. She graduated from St. Mary’s School in Mt. Clemens, Michigan and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseville.
Pastor Forest Versele, her grandson, will officiate the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 7, 2019 in the chapel at Christian Memorial Gardens West in Rochester Hills, Michigan with burial to follow.
The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
