Peggy J. Hinkle

Peggy J. Hinkle, age 89, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away at 8:20 A.M. Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine.

She was born in Van Wert, Ohio December 30, 1927, to the late Arthur and Freeda (Jeweal) Irwin. Along with her parents, also preceding her in death were daughters, Peggy Sue Stewart and Debbie Hinkle; sisters, Dorothy Cook and Sally Ross and brothers, Jimmy Irwin and Michael Irwin.

She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Ross) Zahner, Judy Brenner, and Jill (Gary) Price; a son-in-law, Robert Stewart; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; fifteen great-great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara (Ervin) Ross, Daisey (Kermit) Garner, Kathryn (Michael) McGill, Margie (Gary) Ross, Jane (Paul) Lengerich, and Jackie Haviland; a brother, Steve (Janie) Irwin and many nieces and nephews.

Peggy attended the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine and was a member of the Logan County Friendly Senior Center. She enjoyed reading and watching television. Peggy loved being around her grandkids and spending time with her retired friends. Christmas was Peggy’s favorite time of year.  All who loved her will miss her.

Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.

The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
