Philip L. Zedeker, 61, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at his home.
He was born in Bellefontaine January 1, 1952, to the Charles F. and Betty (Andrews) Zedeker, Jr. Phil was preceded in death by his father.
Phil is survived by his daughter, Brandy (Mark) Bowers of Bellefontaine; his mother, Betty Zedeker of Bellefontaine; sisters, Debbie (Brent) Thomas of Hilliard, Ohio and Sharon (Vernon) Knotts of Bellefontaine; brothers, Fred (Sally) Zedeker, Gary Zedeker, both of Zanesfield, Ohio, Jim (Teresa) Zedeker of Powell, Ohio, and Dan Zedeker of Columbus, Ohio; a granddaughter, Violet Elaine Martin, and many nieces and nephews.
Phil worked for Mr. Concrete and had previously worked at Gallatin Steel in Kentucky and also on the family swine farm. He was a member of the Eagles and AmVets and enjoyed old western movies. Phil exhibited swine at the county, state and national levels. He was devoted to his family and his boxer dogs.
Calling hours will be held at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine Tuesday, December 24, 2013, from 10 A.M. until noon. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 P.M. at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio with Pastor Ray Headings officiating.
