Phyllis Colleen McDonnell

Phyllis Colleen (Eaton) McDonnell, 85, of Bellefontaine, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024, in the Springfield Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on May 18, 1939, the daughter of the late Clifford E. and Ruth Gertrude (Beard) Eaton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Kelly Colleen Riggs and Julia Ann McDonnell, two brothers, Richard Lee Eaton Sr. and Carl Eugene Eaton, and four sisters, Dorothy Jones, Alice (Finley) Ebert, Lois Jean (Karl) DeLaughder, and an infant sister.

Phyllis was a 1958 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and attended Columbus Business University. She graduated from the Automation Institute in Columbus and worked for many years at AT&T Technology in Dublin, OH. She worked way thru college at WBNS-TV as teleprompter operator for Lucy's Toy Shop and Flippo the Clown.

There are no planned services for Phyllis and private burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, West Mansfield.
