Phyllis Yocom

Phyllis H. Yocom, age 94, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at 3:46 A.M. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Green Hills Community in West Liberty, Ohio.

She was born in Zanesfield, Ohio April 11, 1920, to the late Irvin and Mary (Fawcett) Hussey.

On May 15, 1942, she married Ernest “Paul” Yocom and he preceded her in death September 29, 2005. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Frances Peter and a brother, Ray Hussey.

She is survived by her niece, Jenny (Chuck) Boudrow of East Liberty, Ohio; two nephews, Bob (Yung Ok) Hussey of Zanesfield and Bob (Juanita) Weiskittle of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and a great niece, Kim (Mike) Fields of Bellefontaine.

Phyllis had worked in the City of Bellefontaine Auditor Office. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine as well as Past Worthy Matron and 70+ year member the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 9 in Marysville, Ohio.

An Eastern Star service will begin at 11:00 A.M., with the funeral service immediately following Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. Visitation will be one hour prior starting at 10 A.M. Interment be at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty.

The funeral arrangements were in care of the staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
