Rachael A. Cool

Rachael A. Cool, age 93, of DeGraff, Ohio went home to be with her Lord at 1:59 P.M. Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty, Ohio. She was born in West Mansfield, Ohio November 29, 1923, to the late Hobson and Esther (Frye) Black.

On July 21, 1962, Rachael married Willard T. Cool and he preceded her in death June 24, 1997. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Margery Pickett and three brothers, Robert, Philip, and Herbert Black.

Rachael is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Vaughn) Rathbun of Greenwood, Indiana; two sons, Richard (Barbara) Hayman of Fort Myers, Florida and Steve Cool of Riverview, Michigan; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Eirich of Raymond, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Rachael retired from Mid States Container in DeGraff. She was a member of the DeGraff United Methodist Church, Fidelis Sunday School Class, and the Rikmah Club.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 7, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the DeGraff United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be held following visitation at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Michael Mitchell officiating. Burial will be at the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff.

The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
