Rachel J. Powell

Rachel Junita Powell, 82, of Bellefontaine, passed away Tuesday morning, May 9, 2023, at Ayden Health Care of Belle Springs. 

Rachel was born on December 23, 1940, in Bellefontaine to the late Florence Evelyn (Jervis) Frazier.  She was also preceded in death by a son David Powell, a granddaughter Dawn Raymen, sisters Blanche Wheatley and Penny Frazier, and brothers: Bill Frazier, Jimmy Frazier, Ron Frazier, and Frances Frazier.

Rachel is survived by her sisters: Florence E. Frazier of Bellefontaine, and Judy Basco of Louisiana; nephews: Benny Wheatley and Ray Wheatley of Bellefontaine, and a niece Evelyn Wells of Columbus.

Rachel was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed working crossword puzzle books.

Pastor Jeff Willetts will officiate a memorial service on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 11am at Calvary Baptist Church, 1140 Rush Ave. Bellefontaine, OH  43311, where visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
