Ralph Boots

Ralph L. Boots, 87, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010, at 9:35 P.M. at the Green Hills Center in West Liberty. He was born June 27, 1922 in Xenia Township, Xenia, Ohio to the late Samuel and Marietta Funk Boots. On February 19, 1944 he married the former Martha Jane Semler and she preceded him in death on December 5, 2004.

A farmer, Mr. Boots was a member and trustee of the Zanesfield United Methodist Church, as well as a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau, Grange and the Greene County 4-H Committee.

Survivors include a son; Doug (Vicky) Boots of West Liberty; 3 grandchildren, Brent (Sheila) Boots of West Liberty, Kristy (Jay) Ackley and Brad Boots both of East Liberty, Ohio; 4 great grandsons; a sister, Lois Jean Bailey of Yellow Springs, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lula Harner and Grace Ferguson.

Pastor Bonnie Frost and Don Miller will conduct the funeral service on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty. Calling hours are Monday, January 18, 2010, from 2 to 4 P.M. & 6 to 8 P.M. at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home.
