Ralph Dickinson

Ralph Allen Dickinson, 80, of Urbana, Ohio, passed away at 8:25 P.M. Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Logan County, Ohio October 2, 1930, a son of the late Thomas Nelson and Ada (Brannon) Dickinson. He was also preceded in death by brothers, George and Kenneth Dickinson and a sister, Grace Wagner.

He married the former Irene Birt April 2, 1950, in Rushsylvania, Ohio, and she survives along with sons, Robert (Kathy) Dickinson and Ed Dickinson both of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Tom (Becky) Dickinson of Wapakoneta, Ohio; daughters, Pat Montrose, Sandy (Ed) Huffman, Sherry (Ted) Kerr all of Bellefontaine and Anna (John) Bell of Spencerville, Ohio; twenty seven grandchildren; sixty six great grandchildren; seventeen great great grandchildren and a brother, Bill Dickinson of North Carolina.

He was a farmer and a truck driver. He also enjoyed woodworking, traveling and watching tractor pulls.

Pastor Joe Flora will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 2, 2011, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where friends may call from 10 to 11 A.M. prior to the service. Interment will take place at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio at a later date.
