Ralph H. Ricketts, Sr. 79, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at 11:06 P.M. Sunday, September 25, 2011 at his residence. He was born January 31, 1932 in Jefferson Township Ohio, to the late Milo A. and Mary (Cline) Ricketts, Sr.
On September 9, 1955 in Bellefontaine, he married the former Marcile Cook, and she survives along with children, Diane (John) Dillon and Ralph Herbert (Anita) Ricketts, Jr., both of Bellefontaine and Bev (Ned) Buchenroth of Huntsville, Ohio; grandchildren, Dawn (Israel) Lang of Granger, Indiana, Kim (Dustin) Freeman of West Mansfield, Ohio, Aaron Dillon of Orland, Florida, Jennifer (Bill) Stanley and Amanda Ricketts both of Bellefontaine, Rhiannon McGarvey of Russells Point, Ohio and Jessica Buchenroth of Huntsville; great-grandchildren, Emily, Anna and Noah Lang, Shae and Ryan Freeman, Gavin and Mason Stanley and Autumn Brooks; brothers, Milo (Pat) Ricketts of Bellefontaine, Jack (Pat) Ricketts of Westerville, Ohio, Glen (Joann) Ricketts and Bill (Melva) Ricketts, both of Belle Center, Ohio and Jim (Judy) Rickets of Phoenix, Arizona, and Dick(Brenda) Ricketts of Indiana; sisters, Betty (William) Krienbehl of Mansfield, Ohio and Ruth Paulene Kerns of Belle Center.
A Marine Veteran of the Korean Conflict, he worked forty plus years for Rockwell International in Kenton, Ohio. and was a member of the Huntsville United Methodist Church. He was very sports minded and loved all kinds of sports. He enjoyed being with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 P.M. Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine where Pastor Ron Irick will conduct a 6:00 P.M. funeral service with a veteran’s service by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
