Raymond “Ray” Joseph Freisthler, 55, of DeGraff, Ohio, passed away at 10:15 A.M. Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Heartland of Bellefontaine in Bellefontaine, Ohio. This was one day short of the first anniversary of the death of his loving wife Pat, whom he married April 23, 1983.
He was born in Sidney, Ohio March 23, 1958, to the late Gene and Betty Jean (Daniels) Freisthler. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Freisthler and an infant brother, Ronald.
Survivors include brothers, James (Sue) Freisthler of Sidney, Ohio, Robert (Cathy) Freisthler of Lima, Ohio, Donald (Rhonda) Freisthler of Botkins, Ohio; sister-in-laws, Debra K. Saxton, Karen Sue Strayer and Kathy Jo (Ben) Gantz all of West Liberty, Ohio; a brother-in-law, David L. (Martha) Bishop of Urbana, Ohio; many nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs, Cody and Tippy, and cat Ritty Rat.
Ray was a graduate of Botkins High School and a 1977 graduate of Upper Valley Joint Vocational School in Piqua, Ohio. He was employed at HBD/Thermoid Inc. in Bellefontaine as a lift truck driver for over thirty years.
Calling hours will be held Friday, December 13, 2013, from 5 to 7 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. A private family graveside service will be held at the Middleburg Cemetery.
The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
